Micah Young is a music director, composer and writer.  Currently he is music directing the National Tour of Fun Home.  As music director he has worked on shows such as Pageant

(Drama Desk - Best Revival), A Christmas Memory (Outer Critics Circle - Best Musical), Crossing Swords, Award winning Best Music Director in the New York Musical Theatre Festival 2013 .  His work on Broadway includes White Christmas, Mamma Mia, Spring Awakening, Chicago, Promises, Promises, Mary Poppins, Porgy and Bess, Bye, Bye Birdie, Cinderella. Off-Broadway/Regional: Murder Ballad (Studio Theatre), Lincoln in Love (Goodspeed Opera House). He has performed at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Caroline’s Comedy Club, Metropolitan Room, and Joe’s Pub, NYC.

 

As a composer and lyricist, his original compositions have been commissioned by Miracle House, The Flea Theatre, Ma-Yi Theatre Company.  Hi training includes the Professional Musical Theatre Workshop with Paul Gemignani, Interlochen Arts Academy, and Manhattan School of Music with Constance Keene and Maria Asteriadou.
